Our Story

From humble beginnings, Cornell & Diehl has grown into a thriving and vibrant blending house enjoying tens of thousands of square feet in a modern facility with top-of-the-line equipment, all while maintaining a commitment to traditional methods, hand blending, and exceptional components.

History & Future

At Cornell & Diehl, we believe the best things in life are the products of hard work, passion, and more than a little idealism. We craft each of the pipe tobacco blends in our portfolio by hand, one small batch at a time, using only the finest components and natural ingredients. Why? Because there are no shortcuts to quality.

Each of our blends starts with the finest components. Our head blender Jeremy Reeves works closely with farmers and tobacco merchants around the globe to personally source each of the unique varietals and grades used in our blends: From matured Bright and Red flue-cured leaf to exotic Kasturi and sustainable Turkish Latakia, each is specifically selected for consistency and quality. We've even sourced our own proprietary Perique, working with the Roussel family of 31 Farms in St. James Parish, Louisiana, to ensure that the legendary tobacco is traditionally grown and processed to historical accuracy.

For over 30 years, we've helped preserve the tradition of premium pipe tobacco blending, and we hope that we have advanced the craft along the way, exciting discerning enthusiasts around the world with the unique recipes, processes, and innovations we've developed along the way.
